Dallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas Police said a juvenile was arrested this week in connection with a sexual assault on September 18th. Investigators said forensic evidence allegedly ties him to the crime.
A woman told officers it happened around 3 a.m. as she walked along Elm Street and North Trunk Avenue. She said two young men, armed with a gun, grabbed her and sexually assaulted her.
The assault was one of several violent crimes that occurred over a brief time period that had the Deep Ellum community on high alert. Many business owners and community leaders urged patrons to be cautious while walking the streets after hours.
Police arrested the teenager’s alleged accomplice on an aggravated assault charge in connection with the assault.
