(WBAP/KLIF) – Senator John Cornyn’s campaign team is responding to a growing number of Democratic opponents in the 2020 Senate election.
‘Texans for Senator John Cornyn’ released a video, launched a website, and began a week-long advertising campaign in response to State Senator Royce West’s Monday announcement of his campaign for U.S. Senate.
“Liberal Royce West supports late-term abortions, high property taxes, and New York-style gun control,” said Cornyn’s Campaign Manager, John Jackson. “While the Democratic primary is quickly turning into a contest of who can run to the left the fastest, we’re building our field operation and adding grassroots supporters. Whoever limps out of the runoff will face a grassroots army motivated to elect John Cornyn and stop Chuck Schumer and Elizabeth Warren’s agenda.”
The other candidates looking to ust Cornyn include, Houston City Council member Amanda Edwards, former Army helicopter pilot MJ Hegar of Round Rock, and former U.S. Rep. Chris Bell of Houston.
