FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – Citing a public health concern, some Fort Worth City Council members want to take another look at the smoking ordinance.
Right now, it bans smoking in many public places but it may be expanded to include bars.
City staff has been instructed to hold public meetings or put together a committee to look at expanding the smoking ordinance.
But not all council members are on board with making a change.
According to the Star-Telegram, Councilman Jungus Jordan said Fort Worth’s smoking ordinance is one of the toughest in the nation and it’s up to property owners to decide if they want to ban smoking at their business.
