Garland, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Garland Police are looking for several men who allegedly burglarized a home after fooling a woman into believing her water may be contaminated with COVID-19.
Police say the woman allowed at least four men into the home to check her water. home security video shows all of the men regular wearing masks and regular street clothing.
In a Facebook post, police say that while the resident was distracted during the “alleged” inspection, other suspects went through her belongings, stealing jewelry.
Police remind residents that all utility companies or City department employees will wear distinct uniforms, ID identifiable vehicles and will have pre-scheduled appointments.
