Dallas Looks at Ways to Combat Panhandling Problem

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The City of Dallas wants to crack down on panhandlers.

City leaders said some of them make between $40 and $100 a day.

Dallas’ Public Safety Committee will hear from a group called Neighborhood Plus on Monday morning.

The group’s program suggests the city post signs for panhandlers to call a resource hotline and employ the individuals for day laborer projects such as landscaping and garbage removal.
