BETHDESDA, MD (WBAP/KLIF News) – Over 433,000 bottles of Excedrin have been recalled over holes that have been found at the bottom of some of the containers.
GSK Consumer Health made the decision Wednesday due to failure to meet the child-resistant packaging requirement.
It’s a poisonous risk for children, who may grab the bottle, gain access to the pills and swallow them.
The pills were sold at pharmacies, grocery stores, department stores and online from March 2018 through September 2020. The company did not reveal what caused the holes.
The company is asking consumers to check their bottles for holes.
“While the likelihood there are bottles on the market with holes is low, we’re asking anyone who has purchased large-sized Excedrin (50 count and above) to check their Excedrin products and if there is a visible iees, contact GSK Relations at 1-800-468-7746 for a full refund,” said the company.
GSK said if the bottle is not damaged, the pills are safe for consumption as directed on the label.
