DALLAS, TX – (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas City Council approved a $1.2 billion bond package on Wednesday.
The bond proposal is expected to pay for city infrastructure projects for the next five years. In the proposal more than $521 million has been allocated for the cities street and transportation projects, $90 million for police and fire facilities, and $341 million for parks and recreation. The proposal would also allocate $19 million towards addressing the cities homeless crisis by funding the cities Office of Homeless Solutions.
The Dallas City Council passed the bond package on a 14 to 1 vote. It will now go on the ballot on Saturday May 4th special election.
