Dallas Police are investigating an incident near the Omni Hotel and Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. Please avoid this area. A family reunification center has been established at Dallas Police Headquarters, 1400 Botham Jean Blvd.
Sources tell WFAA that parents were fighting at the convention center.
Numerous social media users expressed concern about a possible shooting, but police sources told WFAA there were no shots fired.
The event has drawn thousands of cheerleaders and their families to Downtown Dallas.
People were seen running across the streets of downtown away from the convention center, which is only a couple blocks away from WFAA.
It’s unclear if anybody’s been arrested, sources told WFAA.
