MESQUITE (WBAP/KLIF News ) – It was a scene straight out of a James Bond film that prompted an investigation by the Mesquite Police Department.
Investigators said thieves broke into the American Jewelers at Town East Mall on Saturday morning and got away with $2 million worth of goods.
According to police, the thieves first broke into Sears, broke through a concrete wall and busted out a wall of sheet rock to get to American Jewelers.
A store employee discovered the theft.
Officers are working with mall security to get surveillance video.
