DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A single mother of six was allegedly murdered, with her body left to rot under the mattress in a texas hotel.
The family of 40-year old San Juana Macias say the woman had been missing since July 5th.
Shortly after Austin Police sent out an alert about her estranged boyfriend’s car, 40-year old Jamie Jerome Wingwood was chased by Jefferson County authorities in Oklahoma and later arrested in Louisiana. According to DallasNews.com, Wingwood reportedly confessed to a relative that he killed Macias, and reportedly told an Austin Police Detective, he left her body “under the mattress” at a hotel. The room was allegedly searched by police and cleaned by hotel staff.
The woman’s remains were later found at Rodeway Inn on Highway 290, in Austin.
