(WBAP/KLIF) – Migrant children returned to a Texas facility Tuesday that they were removed from earlier in the week amid reports of inadequate food and water.
Officials with Customs and Border Protection confirmed Tuesday that more than 100 of the migrant children removed from the Clint, Texas border station were brought back to the same facility.
Late last week attorney’s reported unsanitary living conditions in the facility. Days later, more than 250 children were taken to other facilities.
“Clearly thew facilities they have are not capable of holding so many children,” said Dallas Immigration Attorney, Jaime Baron. “Or holding children at all.”
Baron said he understands the Federal government has limited resources with an influx in the number of migrants seeking asylum in the United States, but believes more can be done to protect children.
It’s unclear why the children returned to facility in Clint.
