DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The man who reported that his car was stolen with his 4 year old son inside has been issued a citation.
Dallas Police say the father of four year old Fermin Fuentes reported his car stolen Sunday night and that little Fermin was inside. Following the report the Dallas Police Department issued an Amber Alert.
Detectives say during the investigation they discovered the toddler was at home with his mother and the father said the boy was inside so police would look for his car.
The father, who is not being identified, received a class C citation for filing a false report.
