DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A child in Austin, Texas calls 911, while pleading with his stepfather to stop stabbing his mother. According to court documents, the boy can be heard pleading for the life of his mother, 36-year-old Emily Martinez Villarreal. She died at the scene as deputies arrived Saturday and took 51-year-old Roberto Degollado into custody.
An arrest affidavit shows Degollado was at the home covered in blood when he was detained by Travis County Sheriff’s Deputies. He is charged with murder and being held on a $500,000 bond.
At the time of the killing, there were two children at the home. The boys told law enforcement officials Degollado and Villarreal argued, then Degollado stabbed her, because he thought she was cheating on him.
