Closing Arguments Take Place in John Wiley Price Trial

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The prosecution and defense have made closing arguments in the trial of Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price.

Prosecutors say Price was an account holder on a credit card belonging to Daphne Fain. They say that shows they had a closer relationship than the two claimed.

Prosecutors also say consultant Kathy Nealy was making payments to Price just before he would vote on contracts. They told the jury to focus on bank records showing what they described as “lots and lots of checks” for small amounts.

Defense attorneys argued that the greatest evidence to find Price not guilty on the charges is the lack of evidence provided by the FBI.

The jury is to get the case on Wednesday.
