WASHINGTON D.C. (WBAP/KLIF) – U.S. Senator John Cornyn said Wednesday that the role of FBI Director is more important than ever because of a need to restore confidence in government.
The Senator said he feels good about the abilities of President Trump’s nominee for the job, Christopher Wray.
“I had the pleasure of meeting him earlier this week and I’m very impressed by his credentials, including leading the Department of Justice Criminal Division after the attacks of September 11,” said Senator Cornyn.
Cornyn said people need a restored confidence in the FBI after years of politics instead of focus on the rule of law. The Senate will now vote to confirm Wray’s nomination.
