DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — Trustees for the Dallas Independent School District are discussing ways to fix or eliminate several elementary schools struggling to meet state test standards. New schools on the bubble include Carr, Chavez, Earhart, Ervin, Hernandez and Titche elementary. There are already seven schools in the Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) plan. The board is already scheduled to vote on the closures of Carver Creative Arts Learning Center and Ray Learning Center at its Feb. 23 meeting.
The Dallas Morning News reports parents will get a letter about the proposals next week and have an opportunity to comment at community meetings beginning Feb. 20.
