Dallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – An elector from Texas who has said he will not vote for Donald Trump wants the CIA to release information about why it believes Russia may have tried to interfere with last month’s election.
“Make electoral college members aware of what is going on,” says Christopher Suprun. “Let us have the facts from the CIA’s fact-based report so we can make a proper decision.”
Suprun was joined by a Democratic elector from Colorado. Michael Baca says reports that Trump has not attended daily security briefings show that Trump is “undermining security agencies.”
“It’s not a partisan issue,” Baca says. “This needs to be a bipartisan problem. This is an American problem.”
Monday afternoon, Trump tweeted, “Can you imagine if the election results were the opposite and WE tried to play the Russia/CIA card. It would be called conspiracy theory!”
Trump had previously appeared on Fox News Sunday, defending his involvement in security briefings.
“I get it when I need it,” he said. “I don’t need to be told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years.”
