Watch: Richardson Police Officer Rescues Ducks Trapped in Storm Drain

RICHARDSON (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Richardson police officer recently lent a helping hand to a family in need.

A statement posted on the department’s Facebook page Tuesday detailed the adorable story.

The department said Officer Sontz spotted several ducklings and their mother struggling with traffic as they tried to cross the road.

After he helped them get across safely, several of the ducklings accidentally entered a storm drain and couldn’t find their way out.

Officer Sontz removed the “confused little ones from the drain pipe and guided them back to mom.”
