Following his visit to Austin on Monday, Vice President J-D Vance held a fundraiser in Dallas Tuesday night. The fundraiser was hosted by real estate developer Ray Washburn, venture capitalist Chris Buskirk, and Damon Hininger the CEO of Core Civic. Supporters have been asked to pay $250,000 to host one of the fundraisers, or $100,000 to attend. Vance is considered a leading contender to replace President Trump as the GOP nominee for president in 2028, along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Senators Ted Cruz of Texas and Tom Cotton of Arkansas and Donald Trump, Jr.
