(WBAP/KLIF) — Texas is giving CVS Health fourteen days to stop using D-E-I practices.
Attorney General Ken Paxton sent a letter to CVS Health officials, warning they may be violating state and federal civil rights laws by reserving a significant portion of its supply chain contracts for suppliers that meet certain demographic criteria.
CVS policy allegedly states that a specified number of eligible suppliers must be businesses owned by minorities, women, and those who indentify as LGBTQ+.
Paxton released a statement saying, “People must be judged on the basis of merit, not the color of their skin”, and is giving cvs two weeks to comply with state and federal anti-discrimination laws.
