(WBAP/KLIF) – Restaurants in North Texas are facing increased costs due to the Iran War, with over 75% of owners reporting rising expenses. The Texas Restaurant Association’s first quarter report for 2026 shows that 77% of operators experienced cost hikes, including fuel surcharges. The surge in gas prices resulting from the conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran has impacted businesses, however customer traffic has remained steady since most restaurants have absorbed the price increases. Despite the challenges, some restaurant operators have chosen not to raise menu prices, and are aiming to provide customers with a familiar escape from the uncertainties of the current situation.
