(WBAP/KLIF) — White Castle, a popular Midwest fast-food chain, is opening its first Texas location in The Colony later this year.
Construction on the 3,400-square-foot restaurant is set to begin in June, with an expected opening in late fall. The restaurant will employ about 70 people and is known for its square sliders with steamed onions. White Castle chose Grandscape for its Texas debut due to its welcoming community and available space.
Founded in 1921, White Castle is the first fast-food hamburger chain in the U.S. and has a rich history of serving billions of burgers.
