(WBAP/KLIF) – DALLAS, TX -A judge has granted a temporary restraining order blocking the Dallas City Council from voting on relocating city hall and redeveloping the surrounding land during its meeting today. The order was requested by three council members who claimed that the city violated the texas open meetings act and did not provide enough notice of the meeting agenda. The ruling prohibits the council from voting on the issue until further notice. The decision is a setback for those pushing to move forward with plans to relocate city hall, with estimated repair costs exceeding $530 million dollars. The debate over city hall’s future is further complicated by plans from the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars to relocate to new arenas.
