(WBAP/KLIF) — A federal grand jury in the North Texas returned a 12-count indictment against an Amarillo man for providing guns to the Sinaloa Cartel.
27-year-old Loyd Walter Hall is accused of gun and drug trafficking, as well as conspiring to provide support to the Sinaloa cartel, which is a designated foreign terrorist organization.
Fellow conspirators 30-year-old Jesus Quezada Meza of Dumas and 44-year-old Omar Velasquez of Utah, are each charged with conspiracy to purchase and traffic firearms. 29-year-old Catlynn Ann Townsend of Amarillo has been indicted for making a false statement to a licensed firearms dealer.
If convicted, Hall faces up to a maximum penalty of life in prison, while Meza and Velasquez each face a maximum penalty of 15 years. Townsend faces up to five years in prison.
