U.S. Jobless Claims Drop 13,000 to 553,000 Last Week

WASHINGTON (AP) – The latest jobless numbers show the economy is healing. The U.S. Labor Department  reports the number of Americans applying for unemployment benefits dropped by 13,000 last week to 553,000, the lowest level since the pandemic hit in March of 2020.
