CBP Brings in Record $200 Billion From Tariffs

U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced Tuesday it has collected more than $200 billion in tariff revenue in 2025, a record-setting total the agency credits to trade policies and executive actions implemented by President Donald Trump’s administration.

According to CBP, the revenue was collected Jan. 20 to Dec. 15, after the implementation of more than 40 executive orders related to trade enforcement. The agency said the milestone highlights its role in strengthening U.S. national and economic security by ensuring compliance with federal trade laws.

“CBP’s enforcement delivers results,” CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott said in a statement. “By combining intelligence-led targeting, rigorous oversight, and swift action, we are safeguarding the U.S. economy, protecting American industries, and holding accountable those who seek to break our trade laws.”
