Fmr FBI, Kirk Detail to Newsmax: ‘Full-Court Press’ in Manhunt

Investigators are mounting a “full-court press” to identify the gunman who fatally shot conservative activist Charlie Kirk at a college campus event, as authorities continue combing through video and forensic evidence, former FBI officials tell Newsmax.

“There are things that the FBI is doing, you know, behind the curtains, so to speak, that they’re not letting us know right now – how far along the investigation they are – but it’s a full-court press by the FBI, Homeland Security and local police, state police to identify who the shooter is,” Greg Shaffer, a former member of the FBI Hostage Rescue Team and CEO of Schaffer Security Group, told Thursday’s “Wake Up America.”

Campus security cameras have reportedly shown the shooter and are one of the many ways the manhunt can zero in on a target after two early suspects had been detained, interrogated, and released, according to FBI Director Kash Patel.
