Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, said Tuesday that she expects the federal government to shut down in January.
She warned that Congress is unlikely to pass required spending bills before current funding expires, setting up another high-stakes budget showdown early in the new year.
Crockett, during her livestream, “Crockett’s Quarterly Update,” on Facebook, cited what she described as stalled negotiations and a lack of legislative progress since the government reopened earlier this fall.
