Iran’s missile barrage against Israel during last month’s 12-Day War showed its ability to launch hundreds of missiles at Tel Aviv, Haifa, and other Israeli targets with a variety of missile types.
Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., warned that Iran’s test of a satellite carrier rocket into a suborbital trajectory could mask its effort to develop longer-range missiles.
“Iran’s ‘space program’ is nothing more than a ridiculous charade designed to hide their efforts to develop long-range ballistic missiles to attack America and our allies. Don’t be fooled by their propaganda,” Cotton wrote in a post on X on July 22.
