Senate Again Rejects CRs, Govt Stays Shut Down

The Senate once again rejected the continuing resolution to keep the government funded, having failed both votes Wednesday.

The Senate Democrats’ CR failed 47-53 on party lines, showing no change from the vote the night before. The House GOP CR, hoping to gain five votes to meet the 60-vote threshold after last night’s 55-45 vote failed, stayed the same, too.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., voted against Republicans.
