AUSTIN – WBAP/KLIF – Authorities in Austin are not explaining why they waited before issuing an Amber Alert for a 12 year old girl missing for a week. Avery Reynolds was last seen January 10th in Austin. Officials believe she may be with her mother, 43 year old Kassia Vaughn, and traveling in a black 2005 Mazda Tribute with the Texas plates “DTM3557”.
Avery stands 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs about 85 pounds and has brown hair and eyes. SHe was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black leggings, aqua colored Nike shoes and glasses with red frames.
Vaughan is reported to stand 5 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing 110 pounds, also with brown hair and eyes. Police believe the car as described she is known to drive has front end damage, and on the back, a Texas Tech University logo.
