Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was caught saying that the crisis at the border is “unsustainable” in leaked audio released on Friday. Secretary Mayorkas was talking with Border Patrol agents about the situation, and said that the system is not built for the amount of migrants they are seeing coming into the U.S. He also said that if the border was our first line of defense, the country would lose against that threat. Finally someone in the Biden administration is saying what Republicans and members of this state have been saying for months! Will this lead to any action from the Biden White House? Probably not, but this is a step in the right direction, actually acknowledging the problem.
