DALLAS – WBAP/KLIF – The first of several phases of surveys designed to better tailor services to rider’s needs begins Monday in the Metroplex. Riders are likely to be approached by a blue-vested, clipboard carrying person asking them to add their opinions and facts to a survey including Dallas Area Rapid Transit, McKinney Avenue Transit Authority, and Trinity Railway Express.
With the Metroplex’s current population of about 7.5 million expected to grow to 11 million by 2045, riders will have a great deal of say in how services are tweaked to serve more people in the future. Surveys will run on and off throughout the year, addressing all larger North Texas public transportation systems. The initial phase of this week’s survey will measure rider demand.
Answering questions is voluntary, but officials say they will be kept confidential. Questions are designed to paint a picture of how systems are used, and how they might be improved.
