WASHINGTON — Two people were reportedly shot and wounded in an encounter with Secret Service near the White House Saturday evening, CNN reports.
A person with a revolver was reportedly firing shots near the White House. Secret Service responded and engaged with the person — multiple agents fired at the individual, neutralizing them. CNN reports the person with the revolver was shot and a second person was also wounded. It is not clear if that second person was connected to the shooter or a bystander.
