CAIRO (AP) — The United States and Iran have fired barrages of missiles, as hope dimmed for any quick resolution. An Iranian strike hit a Chinese firm’s building in Kuwait, killing one worker on Thursday, the Kuwaiti military said, as Jordan intercepted Iranian missiles for the second day. The U.S. military struck dozens of Iranian targets, including military command centers. This escalation follows a U.S.-Saudi partnership targeting Iran-backed militias in Iraq. Meanwhile, drone strikes caused fires on ships at an Egyptian port. The ongoing conflict has disrupted global energy supplies, with the Strait of Hormuz effectively closed, impacting the world economy.
